Donald Oral Wilson was born December 24, 1903, near Spencer, in Roane county and died November 30, 1919, at the Roane County Hospital, after a two weeks illness of pneumonia. He was at the time of his death, fifteen years, eleven months and six days of age. He was called in the bloom of youth, with a future and a life of promise before him. "Bud" as he was called, was possessed of such beauty of disposition and character, that his friends were numbered among all those by whom he was known. He was kind at heart and good to all and never refused any task; which he was called upon to do. His ways and life were as nearly perfect as it is given any life to be, and its influence upon those he leave behind will be great. His friends and neighbors, with whom he was associated, and by whom he was held in high regard, feel that his place in their hearts will be hard to fill.
"The Golden Gate was opened wide Jesus called him to come And his loved ones are waiting the call To meet him in Home Sweet Home."
He was the son of Nevil C. Wilson and Leona Wilson, and is survived by his parents, one sister, Opal, and three brothers, Homer, Virgil and Vernon, who have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement. The remains were taken to the Triumph Church, where the funeral services were held and the body laid to rest in the Wilson cemetery.

In Memoriam
Mr. Ale Wolfe, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Wolf, born June 16th, 1885 died June 12th, 1904, of Consumption, being 18 years and 11 month 3 weeks and 6 days old.
Ale was a bright conversion during his sickness. After he was converted he called the family round him and had the promise of family and other friends to meet him in heaven.
He says don't weep after me for I am going up yonder. I can't come back to you papa, but you can come to me if your will. He leaves a father and mother, one sister, Mrs. Ona Wilson, three brothers, Clem, Everett, and Johnny Wolfe, and an aged grandmother to mourn their loss.
Ale was buried Sunday at the Wilson cemetery, the funeral services were conducted by Rev. Kinder, of the Mt. Union Circuit. A very large crowd attended the funeral, the beloved are not as those that have no hope for they realize that their loss is Heavens gain. It is safest and best for us to be ready for we know not what hour the reaper will call for us, get ready, be ready, and stay ready; for the pale horse and the rider, and to meet the great Judge.
Dead, dead, our dear beloved Brother is dead, O can it, must it be That he will never, never more. Set smiling at our knee? No more at evening time. We'll hear his pattering footstep fall, No more to see him among the family, So kind and dear to all. Farewell father, mother, sister and brothers all, From you a son and brother Christ doth call; Weep not for me it is in vain, To call me to your sight again.

In Memory
Of James Everett Wolfe, son of J. T. and I. A. Wolf , was born May 31, 1887, and departed this life Dec. 20th, 1908, aged 21 years, 6 month and 23 days.
Everett was a kind and loving son, a good brother and muched loved by all of his associates. He had for some time been an earnest seeker of the Lord, yet he did not seen to rejoice, but died trusting in God, and in a home beyond this vale of tears. The writer was often with him during his sickness and always found him very patient. He was confined to his bed only a few days, and his death came rather unexpected to his friends and loved ones. But that fatal disease consumption had fastened itself upon him and although everything was done that could be done by kind and loving hands he was taken from us in his youth. It was very hard to give him up, but God knows best and lets us all live so that we will meet Everett on lover's eternal shores, where there will know more sad parting and no more farewell tears shed.
The deceased leaves a father and mother, two brothers and one sister besides a large host of friends and relatives to mourn his death, one brother and one sister proceeded him to the better world some years ago.
Let me say to the bereaved ones, do not weep as those who have no hope, but remember that by and by we shall meet Everett in heaven.
The burial services were conducted by Rev. Steele, Rev. Day and other at the home Monday at 11 o'clock A. M.; interment took place took place at the Wilson grave yard at 2 o'clock P. M.
"There is no death! The stars go down To rise upon some fairer shore: And there in heaven's jeweled crown, They shine forever more". A friend.
