In Memoriam

Mr. Ale Wolfe, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Wolf, born June 16th, 1885 died June 12th, 1904, of Consumption, being 18 years and 11 month 3 weeks and 6 days old.

Ale was a bright conversion during his sickness. After he was converted he called the family round him and had the promise of family and other friends to meet him in heaven.

He says don't weep after me for I am going up yonder. I can't come back to you papa, but you can come to me if your will. He leaves a father and mother, one sister, Mrs. Ona Wilson, three brothers, Clem, Everett, and Johnny Wolfe, and an aged grandmother to mourn their loss.

Ale was buried Sunday at the Wilson cemetery, the funeral services were conducted by Rev. Kinder, of the Mt. Union Circuit. A very large crowd attended the funeral, the beloved are not as those that have no hope for they realize that their loss is Heavens gain. It is safest and best for us to be ready for we know not what hour the reaper will call for us, get ready, be ready, and stay ready; for the pale horse and the rider, and to meet the great Judge.

Dead, dead, our dear beloved
Brother is dead, O can it, must it be
That he will never, never more.
Set smiling at our knee?
No more at evening time.
We'll hear his pattering footstep fall,
No more to see him among the family,
So kind and dear to all.
Farewell father, mother, sister and brothers all,
From you a son and brother
Christ doth call;
Weep not for me it is in vain,
To call me to your sight again.
