John W. Carpenter
John W. Carpenter died November 11, 1937, 84 yrs 3 mo 11 days old son of Joseph and Sarah Carpenter survived by widow Mary Esta, one son Harvey Carpenter, 1 brother Ben of Parkersburg, sisters Cynthia Cutright of Spencer, Mary Nester of Amma, Jane Trump of Charleston and Agnes Wilson of Akron Ohio. Funeral at Trimpuh Church burial in Carpenter Cemetery, Vandale Funeral Home in charge

Joseph Wolfe
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at Spencer for Joseph Wolfe 50, of Aracoma, widely known funeral director who succumbed in a Huntington hospital Tuesday night. Prayer service will be held tonight at Harris Funeral Home for which he worked for 25 years. The Rev. Dr. D.W. Bradshaw will officiate.
The body will be taken to Spencer the birthplace of the deceased. After services at Vandale Funeral Home interment will be in the Hickle cemetery.
The deceased is survived by wife Pansy Davis Wolfe and 3 children , Charles, and James Elliot all of Aracoma. 5 brothers and 1 sister survive. Paul Wolfe of Wayne, Daniel Wolfe of Monore, La, Miles Wolfe of Spencer, Conrad Wolfe of US Army and Beulah Wolfe of Spencer. Mrs. James Elliott mother of the deceased resides in Spencer.

Kate Nester
Kate Nester, age 64, died Friday, February 4, at her home at Uler. She is survived by her husband, George Nester, of Uler, two sons, William Nester -------------- -- Nester, of Parkersburg, ---- daughters, Mrs. Brooks Smith, of Uler, Mrs. Lee Ellis, of Newton, Mrs. Glenn Smith, of Newton, Mrs. Claud Ross, of St. Mary's and Mrs. ------ Smith, of Newton, two brothers, -. -. Snodgrass, of Lefthand, and M. P. Snodgrass, of Charleston, six sisters, Mrs. Henry Ellis, of Tariff, Mrs. Howard Nester, of Lefthand, Mrs. Hill Vineyard, of Lefthand, Mrs. Mary Ferrell, of Looneyville, Mrs. Lake McQuain, of Clendenin, and Mrs. Chas Nichols, of Clendenin. Funeral services were held at ten-thirty o'clock, Monday, February 7, at the Uler Church. Burial was held at the Smith Cemetery, with the Hardman-Conrad funeral home in charge.

MRS LEWELLEN DIES HERE ON TUESDAY
Mrs Louverna Lewellen, 82 of Spencer died on Tuesday at her home following a long illness. She was born in Roane County the daughter of M.A. Seaman she was preceded in death by her husband M.F. Lewellen. She was a member of the Methodist Memorial Church. She is survived by one son Lawrence S Lewellen of Spencer, one daughter, Mrs. E. W. Owens, grandchildren, Mrs. Charles Lewis, Leith and James Owens. Three brothers G.L. Seaman of Palestine, J.M. Seaman of Harrisville and E.L. Seaman of Guyman, Ohio. Burial in Spencer Cemetery with Vandale Funeral Home in charge.

MRS. REYNOLDS DIES
Lydia Z. Reynolds aged 75 died at her home in Curtis district Wednesday evening July 22. She was the widow of the late Filmore Reynolds who died several years ago. She is survived by the following sons and daughters A.J. of Kanawha county, J.A. of Wayne county, B.A. of Akron, Ohio, Leonard of Parkersburg, J.U. and Millard of Spencer, Route 1, Mrs. Hester Straine of Marion Ohio, Sarah Underwood of Tulsa Okla., and Rosie Hardman of Marion, Ohio. Funeral services were held at Mt. Hermon Church Friday in charge Rev. Dow Whited of Gandeeville, interment in Mt. Hermon Cemetery in charge of Vandale Funeral Home.
