The funeral services were held in his church Monday about 11 o'clock A. M., conducted by Rev. Jackson, of Parkersburg. The tokens of esteem were spontaneous from every heart. Orville McMillan was the son of the late Jordan R. McMillan and was born April 11, 1859 and was 50 years and 8 month old at his death. He was married to Miss May "Rohr, May 17, 1887, and from this union two lovely but almost heart broken daughters remain, Miss Floda and Miss Orva, both young women.

Mr. McMillan leaves an aged step mother and several sisters and brothers to mourn their loss, among whom are Walter, Charley, William, and James, and Mrs. C. E. Vandevender, Mrs. S. B. Thompson, who were with him when the summons came and Mrs. Ollie Chambers, absent, who lives in Oklahoma. A brother Otto and a sister Mrs. C. S. Redding passed on before him.

The interment was in the town cemetery beside his wife who followed little more than a year ago.

Mr. McMillan leaves his two daughters well provided for and had $3000.00 life insurance possibly. THE RECORD feels keenly the loss of a dear friend and counselor in Mr. McMillan's death. While he was firm he never intruded; while gentle as woman, flattery nor threat never moved him. He seemed to know the weakness of humanity as his full heart went out to distress and suffering in sympathy and love.
