After doing a bit of checking I find that Clarence O.[age 48] and Icie L. Simms Davis [age 38] were enumerated in the 1940 census of Geary Dist., Roane Co. & that census indicates that they were also living there on 1 Apr 1935. The children listed were: Mary G., Bonnie B., Thelma M., Benjamin F. & Clarence L.
There is a death cert. posted to WV Culture & History Archives, lists Clarence O. Davis b. 25 Sept 1889 & died 4 Mar 1957 & buried at the Carpenter Cem., Orma, Calhoun Co., WV.
Clarence's parents were Isaiah & Levinia Davis.
Icie's father was Newton G. Simms buried at the same Carpenter Cem. in Calhoun Co.
