								 Okey O. Kessel
  Okey O. Kessel, 77, of 909 Washington Ave., Nitro, died Sunday in Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He attended the Freedom Bible Church at Scott Depot. He was a retired pipefitter for Union Carbide, Institute Plant, with 31 years service and was a member of the International Association of Machinists. He was a native of Long Ridge, Roane County.
  Surviving: wife, Bessie B. Kessel; daughter, Mrs. Joyce Eggleton of Scott Depot; sons, Guy Madison Kessel of Olathe, Kansas and James Wayne Kessel of Ravenswood; brother, W. O. Kessel of Bradford, PA; sisters, Mrs. Pearl Cavender and Mrs. Macel Hull, both of Charleston; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild. 
  Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cooke-Pauley Funeral Home, Nitro, with the Rev. Dorris E. Walls officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at today at the funeral home.
