Obituaries : Hugh Ingram

HUGH INGRAM DIES FEB. 25

Funeral services were held from the First M. E. Church Thursday afternoon for Hugh Ingram, aged 89 years, who died Tuesday evening, Feb. 25, 1930 at his home on Tanner Run, following an illness of several months duration. The service was preached by the Rev. W. Casto assisted by the Rev. Dan Anderson and the Rev. G. W. Webb. Interment was made in the Simmons addition of the Spencer Cemetery.

Mr. Ingram is survived by the widow, Emily Board Ingram and eight children: John, Spencer; Irvin of near Elizabeth; Arthur of Charleston; Mrs. C. J. Kelly, Spencer; Mrs. Florence Radabaugh, Curtis District; Holly of Spencer; and William of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Ingram was a pioneer of Roane County, being born here Jan. 30, 1848, the son of John and Emily Hardman Ingram.

(The obit says 8 children and lists only 7; his dau, Dora, was deceased and his dau, Alma, is not mentioned.)
