Alice McMillan VanDevender

Mrs. Charles E. VanDevender, of Parkersburg, died Saturday night at 12 o'clock. She has been ill but a few days and her death was caused from a complication of diseases. She was 67 years of age and is survived by her husband and four daughters, all of whom were with their mother at her death; Mrs. E. L. March, of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. W. C. Bingham, of St. Petersburg, Fla; and Mrs. Bertie VanDevender Smith and Mrs. O. L. Wells, of Parkersburg. The deceased was a sister of S. B. Thompson, who left Monday with Mr. Thompson and Miss Kathleen Thompson for Parkersburg to attend the funeral which occurred Monday afternoon. (1921)
