Gus Long of Spencer, died at his home Thursday, December 6, after an illness of four years.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 8 at the Banner church with the Rev. Orland Reynolds officiating. Burial was made in the Clover cemetery, with the Hardman-Conrad funeral home in charge.

Mr. Long is survived by three sons: Arthur of Buffalo, Holly of Charleston, Blain of Charleston; three daughters, Mrs. Effie Huffman of Spencer, Mrs. Claudine Maynord of Botanio, Ohio and Mrs. Ruby Batten of Spencer; one brother Flem Long of Longbottom, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Edna Shaffer of Charleston.
