I noticed a cemetary listed as the Knotts cemetary located 3 3/4 miles from Spencer. Is this the same as the Short Family Cemetary located off the Boggs Fork Road?

I don't think this is the same cemetery. In the WPA Cemetery books it says the Knotts Cemetery is ON 119 on the Stella Knotts Farm 3 3/4 mi. east of Spencer.
It says the Short Cemetery is 5 1/2 mi s.e. of Spencer OFF 119 on the H.D. McKown Farm. These readings were done in 1938 and says the Knotts Cemetery was no longer in use at that time. |
