The Wirt County Historical Society will host a Genealogy on April 19, 2008, from 9:00 am till 3:00 pm. It will be held at the Elizabeth Baptist Church on Mulberry/Washington Street in Elizabeth, WV. The Record Room at the Court House will be open from 10:00 am till noon for research only. We would like to invite you to participate and share information on families you are researching. Maybe you're interested in old cemeteries or maps of the area, Wirt County has a lot of history to share and people who have researched it. Come on out and enjoy the dau meet new family members and reaquaint yourself with old family and friends.
There will be food cooking in the kitchen to keep you fueled as you research your family roots or locate an area where your ancestors may have roamed.
