[b]Society Links[/b]
These are important links related to the Roane County Historical Society and this web site. You can access them from the top of any page.
[b]Calendar[/b]
The [url=http://www.wvroane.org/modules/extcal/]Calendar[/url] shows meetings, reunions and other special events. We will fill in the official RCHS meetings and events, but you can add things like family reunions or other community events of interest to the Society and it's members. First select the [url=http://www.wvroane.org/modules/extcal/]Calendar[/url] item from the Main Menu at the left of any page. Then choose the [url=http://www.wvroane.org/modules/extcal/submit.php]Submit Event[/url] item that should appear under Calendar heading, also from the main menu.
[b]What's New[/b]
The center column of the front page is a summary of what is new on the site. The most recent articles, active fourms, newest pictures, latest comments and other new content will be listed here. All summary items are linked to the actual posts in the individual sections, so you can click on the links for the full posts.
[b]Searching[/b]

Enter your interest, a name, a place or some other phrase, and click the "Search" button. The results will be displayed, ordered by the sections as shown on the Main Menu. From the result page you can also [url=http://www.wvroane.org/search.php]refine your search[/url], limiting it to specific areas of changing the way words and phrases are considered. Some areas have additional search capabilities. One example is the [url=http://www.wvroane.org/modules/tng/index.php?parm=searchform.php]Genealogy section[/url], where it is possible to search for specific given names, surnames and dates.
