At this meeting the group decided to revive the organization. Sandra was elected president of the newly organized society. She held that office until her death in 1996. With 25 years of teaching experience, Sandra was adept at moving the meeting along at a lively and informative pace. Sandra, also, served as chairperson of the cemetery reading committee and worked on many society projects. She enjoyed sharing resources with others. Sandra was a leader and a driving force in the society and its many energetic projects, which she leaves as legacy to all Roane County genealogists. Sandra Louise was born March 21, 1945 in Spencer, a daughter of Woodrow B. Boothe and Orva Hill Boothe. She was a graduate of Glenville State College, and was a retired teacher and librarian at Southern High School, Racine, Ohio. She was a member of Hayes Fork Community Church, Linden. Sandra, age 50, passed away on February 12, 1996, at the Charleston Area Medical Center?s General Division, Charleston, WV. She is buried at the Clover Cemetery, Clover, WV.
