The Times Record, p. 6A - August 13, 2009 Arthur H. Larch, 90, of Newark, Ohio, formerly of St. Albans and Cross Lanes, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009 at his home. He was born at Walton, the son of the late Lewis and Effie Coon Larch. He moved to Newark in 1988. He was retired from Union Carbide Corp. in South Charleston after 39 years of service. He was a founding member and president emeritus of the former Tech Center Employees Credit Union in South Charleston. He was a member of Heath First Baptist Church and belonged to the ?Young at Heart? Christian group and ?Friends Forever.? He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Pauline; three daughters, Christena Walsh of Heath, Ohio, Cheryl Lilly of Newport News, Va., and Cara Nightengale of Marengo, Ohio; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a niece and a nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Larch and two sisters, Beatrice Shafer and Olive Larch. Service was Tuesday at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home with Pastors Noel Dear and Wally McLaughlin officiating. Burial was in Newark Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd., Newark OH 43055 or to Heath First Baptist Church, 525 S. 30th St., Heath, OH 43056. ************ Arthur H. Larch had been a member of the Roane County Historical Society, Inc. since 2007.
