Mary Alice McMillan, age 80, died Thursday, December 16, 1948 at her home at Otto.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.G. Chapman, and was born in Roane County. She was a member of the Otto A.C. Church.
Surviving are six daughters, Eupha McMillan, of Spencer, Mrs. Goldie Keffer of Hawthorne, California, Mrs. Orpha Sarver of Warwick, Ohio. Mrs. Ruby Bissell of Otto, Mrs. Sylvia Keffer of Otto and Mrs. Burgie Boggs of Otto. Three sons, J.C. McMillan of Charleston, D.G. McMillan of Morristown, Arizona, W.J. McMillan of Otto, two brothers, H.N. Chapman of Parkersburg, J. G. Chapman of Richmond, five sisters, Mrs. Ella Goodwin of Montgomery, Alabama, Mrs. Martha Samples of Williamstown, Mrs. Belle Sarver of Parkersburg and Mrs. Lucy Rishel of Clover, twenty two grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral service were held at eleven o?clock Sunday, December 19 at the Otto Church with the Rev. Herby Spencer and the Rev. Herbert Drake officiating. Burial was held at the Otto Cemetery with the Vandale Funeral Home in charge.
