| Mr. Andrew B. Chancey was born Dec. 23, 1825, and departed this life July 27, 1905 at this residence on the Middle Fork of Reedy. He married Miss Mary Stewart in 1850. They were blessed with six children, four having preceded their father to the spirit world. His wife also died twenty-one years ago. He was left with two children, G. Harvey Chancey and Mrs. Susan (Chancey) Ayres of Ohio. Uncle Andy was member of the M. E. Church at Reedy for a number of years. He was always good, kind and affectionate to his family and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. B. F. Ball in the Reedy M. E. Church at Reedy, after which his remains were laid to rest in the Reedy Cemetery.
