[b]Opha Ray Hess[/b] Opha Ray Hess, aged 46, of 632 Camden street died at 1 o'clock this morning at his home following an illness of two years. Born in Roane county he was the son of Mrs. Amy Hess and the late Wesley B. Hess and before his illness was employed with the Grossman Shoe Co. He had resided in Parkersburg for the past 21 years and was a member of the IOOF lodge. Surviving in addition to he mother are his wife, Mrs. Cleo Hamric Hess; two brothers, Russell and Howard Hess, and one sister, Mrs. Carl V. Davis all of this city. Four nieces and five nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Baptist Temple church with the Rev. T. B. Turley officiating. Internment will follow in the IOOF cemetery. The body will be removed to the Franklin funeral home to the late residence Saturday afternoon and will remain there until one hour prior to services when it will be taken to the church.
