Samuel F. Webb

Last rites for Samuel F. Webb, 65 years old father of Mrs. Letha Coe of Spencer, died last Tuesday at the home of his son. Foster Webb of Wickliffe, O., where he had been visiting for two weeks, were held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Rockland Methodist Church with the Rev. L. C. Rucker officiating. Burial was in the Rockland Cemetery.

A son of the late Jonas and Elizabeth Webb, he was born in Roane County but for the last 14 years had resided in vicinity of Belpre, O. He was stricken suddenly while at his son?s home. He was member of Blennerhasset Post No. 1212, Veterans of Foreign Wars and United Spanish American War Veterans, Camp No. 6 who conducted military rites before burial.

He is also survived by his widow, Mrs. Lucretia Webb; two sons, Herman Webb in the U.S. Navy and John Webb in the U.S. Army five daughters, Mrs. Glenna North of Columbus, O., Mrs. Garnett Anderson of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Mildred Anderson of Gary, Ind., Mrs. Alice Harris of Eleanor, and Miss Francis Webb at home, and two brothers, Floyd Webb of Los Angles, Calif. And Grover Webb of Akron, O.; one sister, Mrs. Rosie Jackson of New Martinsville, 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
