am seeking information on William Beach (born about 1840) and wife Emma Eliza Scott (born out 1845), former residents of Roane County and parents of my great-grandfather, Marion Beach - b. 1870/d. 1935 (family was listed as "Buch" on some transcribed federal census records). Any information would be appreciated. I have a group photo with caption of "Beach family in WV" that appears to be around 1890 period and also photo of Marion Beach from about the same period that I would be willing to share. Thank you!

According to the Roane County Blue and Gray, William Beach was a Private in Co. H 25th Ohio Infantry, b. 1839, d. 1894, buried in Stoney Point Cemetery, Middle Fork Reedy Creek.

The 1890 census veterans schedule shows him in the area of the Reedy Post Office. There appear to be both invalid and widow pension applications on file in the national archives.

Hope this is of some help. Good luck.
