John Looney (1814-1889) was one of my Mother's great grandfathers. He and his wife, Phoebe (Huffman)Looney, were living on a farm in the Walton area when they sold 157 acres (site of the future Lynch Home farm)in 1867 to John W Lynch(1844-1912) and their daughter, Mary a (Looney) Lynch. John and Mary had married the year before.
The future Lynch farm was on Left Hand Hill between Ambler Ridge and future named Lynch Ridge. The Looneys would continue living on their farm in the Walton area. Where was it? John Looney's uncle, Robert Looney, had settled earlier in what would later be called Looneyville.
