Josephine R Monroe Hickel (Born October 1852 Rockbridge County Virginia)
The wife of Joseph Hickel & the mother of: Audra L/Feb 1879; Martha A/June 1880; Twins-Victoria/Nov 26 1881-Nov 29 1881 & Lemuel A/Nov 26, 1881; James C/Sept 1883; Ora C/Sept 1885; Robert Roy/July 1888; Waitman Joseph A/Nov 1890; & Romeo/Mar 1893.
On the back of the picture it reads: Jim Hickel's mother who lived with Jim & Maggie when they lived close to Lemuel Hickel's home at Ernest Star Rte.
I don't know who the baby is. I do know my grandmother Maggie Hickel was a foster mom to her sister's children & others. |
